Expedition Robinson 2009, the popular Swedish reality television show and the Swedish version of Survivors???, had its initial telecast last night on Channel 4.
We watched it with friends after a nice dinner at here in our place.
The show was filmed last January in the Philippines in El Nido, Palawan. Palawan Island is located in western Philippines and was named by National Geographic Traveller magazine as the top island destination in Southeast Asia region in 2007. Yes, we've been to Palawan but only in the capital city called Puerto Princesa. Actually, taking a direct flight going to El Nido from Manila is super expensive!!! and there are only two domestic carriers who fly there, ITI (Island Transvoyager Inc.) and SeaAir (Southeast Asia Airlines). You can also reach El Nido via Puerto Princesa City by road or by boat. If you choose by road, it will take you about 8 to 10 hours bus trip and it will probably be the same if you go by boat (from Sabang where the Underground River is or from Coco Loco Resort in Honda Bay. Anyway, Robinson is aired every Saturday at 8:00 pm Swedish time on TV4. A weekend show to look forward to.
It's Ken's namesday today (Kennet/h) and I just found out that there is a club in Sweden called The Kenneth Club where the members are men whose name is Kenneth. Unfortunately, Ken is not a member and doesn't want to become one, either. Well, well.
We had our Holy Supper at church today and after the worship service, we had a little gathering. Eating Filipino food and taking pictures is our idea of socializing*s*. Ken wasn´t with us because he got suddenly sick this morning.
